CBC Announces Ioanna Roumeliotis As New Host Of The Fifth Estate
CBC today announced that award-winning journalist Ioanna Roumeliotis will join CBC News’ flagship investigative documentary program THE FIFTH ESTATE as full-time host alongside Mark Kelley and Steven D’Souza.
Most recently a senior reporter with THE NATIONAL and past guest host of THE FIFTH ESTATE, her first episode in her new role will air Friday, March 7 at 9 p.m. (9:30) on CBC and CBC Gem as part of the program’s 50th anniversary season, offering a deeper look at the dark world of online extremism.
